  Roland Whissell WHISSELL, Roland J. L. Rolly passed away January 10, 2008 in hospital after a valiant and courageous fight to recover from a massive stroke which he suffered in May 2007 at the age of 71. He left us gracefully surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of 46 years to Bernadette (Iacovitti). A most cherished and wonderful father to Rossana, Marc (Sherry Douglas) and predeceased by his son Shawn. Irreplaceable grandpa to Jessica and Leah Bortolotti. Survived by his brother William (Gertrude Pugin). Predeceased by his father Eugene and mother Valeda (Champagne), siblings Maurice (Lucienne Faubert), Roger (Monique Larose), Aline (Victor Lavoie), Georgette, and Jacqueline (Jean-Marie Larose). He will be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends, especially his best friend of 60 years Robert Labelle (Barbara). Family and friends may pay their respects at Kelly's Funeral Home, 585 Somerset Street, West on Monday, January 14, 2008 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Tuesday, January 15, 2008 to St. Anthony's Church for Mass of Christian Funeral 10 a.m. Rolly's family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the caring nursing staff at the ICU of the General Hospital. A special thank you to Dr. Gilberg at the Eye Institute at the General Hospital.
