  Denis Lavoie passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2022, at the age of 67 of lung cancer. He was a devoted husband to his late wife (Aline Lavoie), caring father, loving brother and grandfather and an honorable friend. He will be dearly missed by his daughter Melanie Roy (Pierre-Paul Roy) and his grandchildren, Evan Roy and Caleb Roy. He was the son of the late Victor Lavoie and late Aline Whissell and brother of Bob, Paul, Claudette, Diane, Pierre, Jeanne, Huguette, Guy, Lorraine, Lise and Rolland (predeceased by his brothers, Roger and Maurice). Denis was passionate about his trade (steamfitter), enjoyed his fishing trips and found joy in helping others. Family and friends are invited to a service in memory of Denis at Beechwood Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services (280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa), on Thursday, October 27 at 10:00 AM, followed by a reception.
