Outre par ses parents, il fut prédécédé par son fils Jean-Marc (Kathy). Il laisse dans le deuil ses enfants: Michel, Jocelyne (Rick), Daniel (Kim) et Nathalie (Mario); la mère de ses enfants, Julienne De Repentigny; ses petits-enfants: Damien, Elizabeth, Sean, Natasha, Jessica, Melissa, Amanda, Christine, Rachel et Sébastien et ses 4 arrière-petits-enfants.     Notes:

    Joseph Whissell spent most of his life at the Brockville Asylum after being admitted on Apr 16th 1915 until his death on the 13th January 1942. Many thanks to cousin Richard Whissell who retrieved the hospital report made on Joseph WHissell (30Mb PDF format) while a patient there.     Uncle William Whissell says that Joseph Whissell was an auto mechanic, very good at car body work, that he owned 2 houses in Hull, which he sold prior to moving to Vars, Ontario on a farm. That he had a nervous breakdown after his cows contacted a disease which killed most of them, that he was brought to Brockville, Ontario as a patient when Yvette was only 5 or 6 years old. He remained in Brockville until his death 35 years later. He was brought to Notre-Dame cemetery in Hull and buried in a common grave # 2244.

    Some say she died of cancer following an accident while ploughing her field with an ox. Apparently one of the handles she was holding struck her in the abdomen initiating the cancer.
