MME HÉLÈNE DAVIS née Whissel est décédée paisiblement, entourée de sa famille le dimanche 23 mars, à l'âge de 63 ans. Elle était la mère bien-aimée de Claude (Helen), Marc et Diane (Claude Bureau); fière grand-maman ``Nanny' de Quinn, Madison, Aubrey, Gemma, Mireille, Danielle, Marcie et Lacey; chère soeur de Carmen Billings. Elle laisse également un ami et cher père de ses enfants, Hector Davis. Elle fut prédécédée par son père Arthur; sa mère Rita et son frère Yvon. Hélène a quitté ce monde de la même façon qu'elle a vécu sa vie: avec grâce et dignité. Elle a touché plusieurs vies et a toujours donné sans compter. Elle a rendu la vie plus agréable pour ceux qui l'ont connue. La famille désire remercier tous les docteurs et infirmières, spécialement Dr Louise Coulombe pour le support et les bons soins prodigués dans ses derniers jours. Un service religieux en présence des cendres aura lieu le vendredi 28 mars à 11h, en l'église St-Paul d'Aylmer. La famille accueillera parents et amis à l'église à compter de 10h30. Obituary MADAME RITA RENAUD Est décédée le vendredi 3 mai 2002, à l'âge de 87 ans. Rita Renaud était l'épouse de feu Arthur Whissell; chère mère de Hélène Davis et Carmen Billings; grand-mère chérie de: Gisèle, Robert, Claude, Marc et Diane; arrière-grand-mère de 13 petits-enfants. Elle laisse également son frère Martin et sa soeur Thérèse Renaud Laframboise. Elle fut prédécédée par son fils, Yvon Whissell. Une messe à la mémoire de Mme Renaud aura lieu le vendredi 10 mai 2002, en l'église St-Paul, Aylmer, à 11h. Pour ceux qui le désirent, des dons à la Société canadienne du cancer seraient appréciés. Joseph Whissell spent most of his life at the Brockville Asylum after being admitted on Apr 16th 1915 until his death on the 13th January 1942. Uncle William Whissell says that Joseph Whissell was an auto mechanic, very good at car body work, that he owned 2 houses in Hull, which he sold prior to moving to Vars, Ontario on a farm. That he had a nervous breakdown after his cows contacted a disease which killed most of them, that he was brought to Brockville, Ontario as a patient when Yvette was only 5 or 6 years old. He remained in Brockville until his death 35 years later. He was brought to Notre-Dame cemetery in Hull and buried in a common grave # 2244.

Some say she died of cancer following an accident while ploughing her field with an ox. Apparently one of the handles she was holding struck her in the abdomen initiating the cancer.
